PHI BETA DELTA INDUCTION 2016

The Epsilon Upsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Delta held their annual induction ceremony during International Education Week on November 17, 2016. The chapter welcomed 14 new members into the prestigious honor society for international scholars. State Senator Tom Dugger was also inducted as an honorary member, for his significant contributions to Stillwater’s and OSU’s international engagement. Newly inducted members included Tutaleni Asino, Gabriella Bragoli, Brendon Glon, Jared Johnson, Omar Khalil, Eunhye Kim, Ky Le, Raghav Nargotra, Brandon Raczkoski, Cates Schwark, David Thomas, Eric Turcat, Laurielle Turcat, and Mike Yough.

Nominated for membership based on their significant contributions to the international efforts, new members inducted at the ceremony include Waqar Akram, R. PHI BETA DELTA INDUCTION 2014

The Epsilon Upsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Delta held their annual induction ceremony on November 20, 2014 during International Education Week. With over 50 Oklahoma State University and Stillwater community internationalists in attendance, the Chapter welcomed eight new members and five honorary members into the prestigious honor society for international scholars.

For their significant contributions to increasing OSU’s involvement internationally and efforts for enhancing the global competency of all OSU students, honorary membership was extended to Dr. Gary Sandefur, Provost and Senior Vice President, Dr. Thomas Coon, Vice President and Dean of the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Dr. Ken Eastman, Dean of the Spears School of Business, and Dr. Keith Garbutt, Dean of the Honors College.

Professor Jeanne Homer, associate professor of architecture and 2013 recipient of the OSU International Education Faculty Excellence Award, delivered the keynote address, Engaging Culture Through Architecture. Ms. Homer was recognized for her international accomplishments and awarded honorary membership in Phi Beta Delta.

Nominated for membership based on their significant contributions to the international efforts at OSU, NOC, and within Oklahoma, new members inducted at the ceremony include Dr. Elizabeth Carver-Cyr, Yi-Fang Lu, Dawson Metcalf, Isabel Mulino, Dr. Deborah Osborne, Chad Sebring, Wade Watkins, and Austin Wright.

A reception and social gathering followed the induction.

Over 50 Oklahoma State University and Stillwater community internationalists attended the annual induction ceremony of the Epsilon Upsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Delta held on November 20, 2013 during International Education Week. The Chapter welcomed 13 new members and seven honorary members into the prestigious honor society for international scholars. The chapter now numbers over 250 members of which 34 are honorary.

Dr. James Pappas, professor of management and 2012 recipient of the OSU International Education Faculty Excellence Award, delivered the keynote address, The Millennial Generation Goes Abroad. Dr. Pappas was recognized for his international accomplishments and awarded honorary membership in Phi Beta Delta.

For their creative and meaningful contributions to increasing OSU’s involvement internationally and efforts for enhancing the global competency of all OSU students, honorary membership was extended to Dr. Pamela S. Carroll, Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Bret Danilowicz, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Jean Sander, Dean of Veterinary Health Sciences, Dr. Paul Tikalsky, Dean of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, Dr. Sheryl Tucker, Dean of the Graduate College, and Dr. Stephan Wilson, Dean of Human Sciences.

A reception and social gathering followed the induction.
