Welcome to the OSU Peace Corps Recruiting Office
Welcome to the site of the Peace Corps Recruiting Office at Oklahoma
State University. Our office is the only campus-based Peace Corps recruiting office
in the state of Oklahoma. Hosted by the OSU School of International Studies, we
work to promote Peace Corps program opportunities and to recruit qualified volunteers
possessing the appropriate skills and motivation to succeed as Peace Corps volunteers.
Our office is dedicated to the goals of the Peace Corps mission:
- To help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained
men and women;
- To help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served;
- To help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.
As of March 2007, Oklahoma State University has produced 455 Peace Corps Volunteers. Currently, OSU has alumni serving in Armenia, Benin, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Georgia, Ghana, Jamaica, Jordan, Kenya, Malawi, Moldova, Namibia, Panama, Peru, Republic of Azerbaijan, Samoa, Thailand, Togo, Uganda, and Zambia.
The OSU Peace Corps office handles the recruiting of applicants from Oklahoma
State University, nearby Langston University, and the Stillwater community. All
other applicants should apply by submitting their applications online at www.peacecorps.gov
.
Also, the OSU School of International Studies Graduate Program is proud to offer
a Master's International degree, a unique opportunity to combine Peace Corps service
with a Master's degree program.
Our office is here to assist you in transforming your international ambitions
into Peace Corps reality. This web site will supply you with information to educate
you on our program and services, but we also recommend that you visit our office
and our local events.
