Fulbright Scholar Program

There are numerous Fulbright programs for established professionals. The core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program provides approximately 800 teaching and/or research grants to U.S. faculty and experienced professionals in a wide variety of academic and professional fields. Grants are available in over 125 countries worldwide. In addition, there are short term programs for specialists and education administrators.

For over 50 years, the Council for International Exchange and Scholars (CIES) has helped administer the Fulbright Scholar Program, the U.S. Government's flagship academic exchange effort, on behalf of the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Founded in 1947, CIES is a private organization. It is a division of the Institute of International Education (IIE). For more information on CIES, visit: www.cies.org
