Health & Safety

When you study or travel abroad, the best way to ensure health and safety, and to avoid emergencies is to be well prepared, well informed, and alert! As a study abroad participant you are ultimately responsible for your own health and safety. To help you be better prepared our office has provided below helpful tips and links to websites that deal specifically with the heath and safety considerations of study abroad. We also recommend the Introduction to Study Abroad course, listed as A&S 2000 on the SIS system, as part of your planning process pre-departure.

We encourage you to use this information, and emphasize that self-awareness and personal responsibility are imperative components of a successful time abroad.
